Society of Women Engineers UW is one of the largest engineering organizations on UW Seattle's campus. With over hundreds of members and a team of 80+ general officers, the Secretary Team of 2020-2021 has established branding guidelines to support creating a consistent visual identity for SWE UW.

my impact
I was the Co-Graphics Director.
As Co-Graphics Director, I helped create the branding guidelines in Google Slides and Figma. I also created the logo design for 2020-2021 that would be used on our official merch for members. Additionally, I fulfilled graphics requests for social media banners and events submitted by the officer team

We wanted to include resources for future graphics teams.
We explored different plugins and design tools and made sure to include them in the brand book for more graphic teams to use as a reference. We also wanted to include a moodboard to show a part of our design process when coming up with our graphics.
DELIVERABLES
I designed the SWE UW Logo for the community.
In addition to the SWE UW logo provided by National SWE, I came up with a logo design for our community. I wanted to create something simple and fun. As our school mascot is a husky, I referenced husky photos in my sketches to come up with our current iteration for our logo.

Previous Logo Concepts
Here's a preview for the design iterations I made for the husky logo. I used procreate to sketch out the first idea, and then traced a vector outline using Figma. I received feedback from the PR and Secretary team as I worked on the husky design.

I also created additional mockups for other logo and merch ideas using Photoshop and Adobe Stock photos. Due to time, budgeting, and distribution constraints, our PR team decided that it would be best for future SWE UW teams to pursue these merch projects.
